SLS 3D printing

In the Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technique, the 3D printer consists of a tray with nylon powder and a laser. The top layer of the nylon powder is fused by the laser beam and sticks to the layer underneath. Then a new layer of powder is placed on top of it, which is heated again and fused to the layer underneath. And so on. In this way, a 3D printed object forms inside the powder container. The SLS technique offers:

– Unprecedented design freedom! Even the most impossible forms can be printed. With our years of design experience, we would like to think along with you!
– A strong yet flexible material (nylon) with a beautiful matt finish, to be executed in 9 different colors
– A very good price / quality ratio

View all the proporties below and look at design guidelines that you should pay attention to when creating your design. You can then upload your design (as a .stl file) and choose the desired color.

Costs: The costs for 3d printing are determined on the basis of the amount of material needed for the print, in cm3. However, an object that is printed twice as large contains much more than 2 x the material. To give an example: a cube of 2 x 2 x 2 cm has a volume that is 8 x larger than a cube of 1 x 1 x 1 cm. The object is then twice as large, but costs 8 times more.
Massive objects logically cost significantly more than objects that have been hollowed out
To be able to model as thin-walled as possible, see our design guidelines. We can also optimize your object for 3D printing, depending on the shape and type of file
Max. dimensions: 650 × 350 × 550 mm
Layer height: 0,1 mm

Escape holes: openinginvorm In order to be able to remove the powder from a hollow shape, at least one hole must be present with a diameter of at least 4 mm (or 2 holes of at least 2 mm)
Volume: volume To save material costs, you can best deliver a solid / solid object as a hollow object.
Wall thickness: wanddikte We recommend a wall thickness of 0.7 mm or more
Detail size: detaillering_emboss Minimum dimensions of relief (emboss) in width and height / depth is 0.2 mm, for a readable text 0.5 mm
detaillering_engrave Minimum dimensions of a groove (engrave) in width and height / depth is 0.2 mm, for a readable text 0.5 mm
Clearance speling It is possible to print an assembly of parts in 1x, but take into account a clearance of at least 0.5 mm between the different parts
Shape in shape: vorminvorm With this printing technique it is possible to print a shape in a form. Please note that the powder can be removed from the gap, ie there are openings in the shapes
