Costs: | The costs for 3d printing are determined on the basis of the amount of material needed for the print, in cm3. However, an object that is printed twice as large contains much more than 2 x the material. To give an example: a cube of 2 x 2 x 2 cm has a volume that is 8 x larger than a cube of 1 x 1 x 1 cm. The object is then twice as large, but costs 8 times more. |
